Game of Thrones Episode 1

Episode 1:

Our journey through Westeros begins with a quick murder scene in an unknown location, and then we find ourselves in Winterfell, we find the warden of the North, Lord Eddard Stark.  Eddard, Ned for short, lives with his wife Catelyn, three sons, Robb, Bran, Rickon, his two daughters, Sansa and Arya, and his bastard son, Jon Snow.

Notice of the impending arrival of the King Robert, of the house Baratheon, in Winterfell. panic ensues.  Preparations for the king must be perfect, especially after the shocking news of the death of the hand of the king, Lord Jon Arryn.

As old friends become anew, King Robert and Ned talk, laugh and drink.  When the serious conversation begins, Robert asks Ned to be his Hand of the King.  Eddark returns to Catelyn to discuss Robert’s proposal and isn’t happy.  She becomes dreary after hearing news about the previous hand.

Enter House Lannister.  Tywin, head of the family is widower to three children, twins Jamie and Cersei, and the dwarf imp Tyrion.  Cersei is married to King Robert, making  her queen of the seven kingdoms.

Bran Stark, son of Ned, enjoys to climb.  Seeing that he lived in a castle his entire life, the beginning of his childhood he would spend hours climbing to every spot of Winterfell.  On a casual day exploring around, Bran ascends the broken tower.  Upon is escalation, he hears Queen Cersei and her twin brother engaging is sexual activities.  Cersei, who was facing the window, notices Bran, and Jamie pushes him off the ledge.

Esos.  The sister continent to Westeros, where majority of the plot takes place.  The first time you visit Esos, you see two blonde children, named Viserys and Daenerys Targaryen.  Viserys, arranges his sister to marry the Dothraki Warlord, Khal Drogo in exchange for an army to retake the iron throne in Westeros.
